High Temperature Valves
High temperature valves have limitations confined within the alloy composition and design of the valve. Cast steel or forged steel valves can be made of carbon steel or stainless steel alloys and trims capable of handling 1000 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures at up to 10,000 psi. Gate valves, globe valves, needle valves, angle valves, y-pattern globe valves, swing check valves, ball check valves, piston check valves, stop-check valves, bellows seal valves, wafer check valves, blow down valves, and ball valves retain material combinations, including SA 182 F11, SA 182 F22, SA 182 F316, ASTM A351 CF8M, A 351 CN7M, Hastelloy C-276, A217 WC6, and A217 WC9.
These types of valves can be made with metal-to-metal seats, full hard-faced seats, or various chrome-moly alloys. Typical high temperature valve applications include high pressure steam lines, fluid heat transfer, molten sulfur, aluminum slurry, high temperature oil and lubricant feed systems, and waste fuel systems. We also offer parts from Steveco products and the Hills McCanna butterfly valve. If you can’t find what you need, then please complete our component part request.
Cast Steel Angle Valve
The cast steel angle valve is also known as the boiler header valve, or a stop & check valve, because of its dual-purpose design to regulate boiler steam and prevent its backpressure from returning to the boiler. The stop check valve also averts the backflow of steam from the header into the boiler when shut down, and is unintentionally opened.
Angle valve can be mounted in either vertical or horizontal position, and are designed in several configurations to accommodate ease of operation. This includes ninety-degree globe type pattern or forty-five degree offset angle type, straight pattern with forty-five degree offset, and ninety degree with forty-five degree offset. Cast Steel Angle valves are offered in a variety of materials, including ASTM A-126 cast iron, ASTM A-216 WCB, ASTM A-351 grade CF8M, WC5, WC6 and WC9, in pressure classes of 250,300, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500.
Bellows Sealed Valves
Bellows sealed valves have confined to the alloy composition and design of the valve. These valves can be made with metal-to-metal seats, full hard-faced seats, or various chrome-moly alloys, and exotic materials like Alloy 20, Monel 400, Hastelloy C276, Inconel 600, and Inconel 625. Bellows sealed valves are highly effective even when they are exposed to extreme temperatures.
Pressure Seal Valves
Pressure seal valves, also known as Breech lock valves, have seal welded bonnets for high temperature, and high-pressure applications. For instance, steam and boiler feed water services, in compliance with ASME boiler and pressure vessel code applications, and the ANSI power piping code. Magnetic particle testing and radiographic examination are optional.
Sizes and pressure classes of Pressure seal valves include all sizes from 3” to 24” pipe size in pressure class 300, 600, 800, 900, 1500, 2500, 4500, 6000, and 10,000.
